Abitalia is derived from two words, ‘abitare’ and ‘Italia’; to dwell or inhabit like the Italians. The idea was to capture the strong sense of design and culture that is prevalent in Italy and apply this to the spaces we live in.

Founded in 2007, Abitalia gained a reputation for passion and strong attention to detail. From the original design studio in Cheltenham, a South Coast satellite office was formed in 2012.

Abitalia South Coast built on this success and went on to open a small inspiring studio space. In 2024, the design studio moved to its new home, a 3000sq ft Victorian warehouse that has been lovingly restored. Inspired by Boffi via Solferino, Milan, the design studio showcases unparalleled form and function, between furniture and architecture.

Abitalia continues to concentrate its expertise on working with private clients, developers and architects on some of the most beautiful contemporary residential projects along the south coast.

We have simplified designing the interior of your home. Whether embarking on a new build or renovation, we tailor our involvement to your needs. From supply only, to complete project management and delivery.

Our service can be defined by good, better, best. While the standard of our design and furniture maintain the same high standard, we understand clients will have different requirements.

We believe in transparency and respect. We look to form lasting relationships where we work with you.

  • An initial discussion to understand the project and design brief. We will prepare a basic 3D design and layout, product schedule on a supply only basis. Our design fee is covered by the supply of goods.

  • We develop the 3D model in detail, provide photorealistic renders, a detailed project schedule, technical plans, elevations and cross sections for a third party contractor to install. Design fees apply

  • The whole process is delivered by our talented team of professionals. We provide dedicated project management and install your interior project with our in-house team of specialists. Every detail is carefully considered to realise your project. Design and project management fees apply
